LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

PRACTICAL DEVELOPMENT THAT CHANGES HOW LEADERS SHOW UP, WORK AND LEAD

Leadership development should create more than a day of interesting conversation. It should help leaders understand how they are affecting the people and systems around them, practise new ways of responding, and apply what they learn to the real work waiting for them.

CUSTOM LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Every organization has different leaders, pressures, and development priorities. Leslie works with clients to identify the leadership capabilities that matter most, then designs an experience that connects those capabilities to the situations participants are actually navigating.

WAYS WE CAN WORK TOGETHER

  • Focused workshops: Practical sessions built around a specific leadership challenge, capability, or organizational priority.

  • Multi-session development programs: A connected series that allows leaders to learn, practise, apply, and reflect over time.

  • Leadership cohorts: Development experiences for leaders at a similar level or stage who can learn with and from one another.

  • Customized leadership programs: Learning designed around the organization’s context, language, existing frameworks, and desired outcomes.

Programs can be delivered in person or virtually and adapted for emerging leaders, experienced people leaders, senior leaders, or mixed leadership groups.

“That was terrific, both in terms of content and delivery. I had a few more minutes with the Board members afterwards and they were clearly impressed with your experience, insights and professionalism.”

LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAMS

FIVE DYSFUNCTIONS OF A TEAM | Based on Patrick Lencioni’s Five Dysfunctions of a Team model, this one-day workshop helps leadership teams examine the conditions affecting their collective performance. Participants explore trust, productive conflict, commitment, accountability, and attention to shared results. Guided discussion and practical activities help the team identify where it is working effectively, where friction is limiting progress, and what members need from one another to work with greater clarity and cohesion.

LEADING LEADERS | Leading other people leaders requires a different level of focus, communication, and judgment. This program helps senior leaders examine how they set direction, develop leadership capability, create accountability, and avoid stepping into work their leaders need to own. Through practical leadership concepts, discussion, and case-based application, participants strengthen their ability to lead through others while maintaining the strategic perspective their role requires.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS

LEADERSHIP EQ: YOUR LEADERSHIP SUPERPOWER | Emotional intelligence shapes how leaders understand themselves, manage their responses, build trust, and work effectively with others. This workshop helps participants strengthen self-awareness, recognize the influence of the inner critic, and examine how their behaviour affects the people around them. Practical activities explore authenticity, relational awareness, stress management, and the everyday choices that support more grounded and effective leadership.

BUILDING A CULTURE OF ENGAGEMENT | Engagement is influenced by what leaders pay attention to, reinforce, and make possible. This workshop explores the leadership practices that support clarity, accountability, motivation, recognition, growth, and meaningful contribution. Participants examine the conditions that affect engagement in their own workplace and identify practical changes to strengthen commitment, ownership, and performance.

CREATING AND SUSTAINING HIGH-PERFORMANCE TEAMS | High-performing teams require more than talented individuals. This workshop examines the conditions that allow people to work effectively together, including trust, clear expectations, accountability, productive conversation, recognition, and shared commitment. Participants assess how their current team is functioning and identify practical actions that can strengthen collaboration, team effectiveness, and results.

MANAGING MULTIGENERATIONAL TEAMS | Leading across generations requires curiosity, adaptability, and a willingness to question broad assumptions about how people work. This workshop explores how career stage, experience, communication preferences, workplace expectations, and individual differences can affect team dynamics. Participants develop practical approaches for communicating, motivating, giving feedback, and creating an inclusive environment in which people of different generations can contribute effectively.

SUCCESSION PLANNING | Effective succession planning requires more than identifying who might fill a future vacancy. This workshop helps leaders clarify critical roles, assess organizational risk, identify emerging capability, and connect succession decisions with meaningful leadership development. Participants explore practical approaches to talent conversations, knowledge transfer, readiness, and building a stronger leadership pipeline over time.

LEADERSHIP ASSESSMENTS

ONE-ON-ONE OBSERVATION PROGRAM | Leslie observes leaders conducting real one-on-one meetings and provides focused feedback on what is helping or limiting the conversation. The process may examine clarity, listening, accountability, coaching, collaboration, and how effectively the leader adapts to the employee and situation. Each leader receives practical feedback, targeted coaching, and specific development priorities they can apply in future conversations.

360 DEGREE ASSESSMENT | A 360-degree assessment helps leaders understand how their behaviour and impact are experienced by the people around them. Feedback from relevant respondent groups provides a broader view of strengths, development needs, and potential gaps between intention and impact. Leslie helps the leader interpret the results, identify the patterns that matter most, and translate the feedback into focused development priorities and practical action.

SUCCESSFINDER TALENT ASSESSMENT | SuccessFinder provides a detailed behavioural profile that can deepen understanding of a leader’s motivations, decision-making approach, communication preferences, and recurring patterns. As a certified SuccessFinder coach, Leslie helps individuals and organizations interpret the results and apply them to leadership development, career planning, succession decisions, role alignment, and transitions into greater responsibility.
