In 2005, EDC undertook a multi-year organizational re-alignment of all lines of business, to achieve an integrated business model. As an Integration team member in 2006, I led the performance management initiatives associated with the transformation to sector-focused business teams and effective customer relationship management. I worked throughout the organization to influence and develop a comprehensive planning framework linked to environmental scans and sector-focused planning. I led key initiatives that sustained and grew momentum, including performance management & measures, and influenced key change management & communications initiatives, process enhancements, CRM, training, information management, team-building and leadership development activities. Currently, I am leading development of corporate service standards, Executive portfolio monitoring and communication, and have just completed project management of the regionalization of EDC's Underwriting.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
  • Mapped the corporate workforce capacity against corporate demands, and recommended revisions to processes to improve efficiency and project delivery

Contributed to the future direction of the Business Solutions & Technology Group (BS&T) and complimented IT insight with exposure to the corporate view. Influenced corporate direction and attainment of corporate strategic objectives, through collaboration and innovation.

ACHIEVEMENTS:
  • Created the Corporate IT Strategy and its key components: Business Environment, Vision and Mandate, Governance, Guiding Principles, Technology Environment, Financial Highlights, Corporate IT Strategic Objectives, Investment Criteria, Major IT Initiatives, and Key Metrics. EDC's Corporate IT Strategy was approved by the Board of Directors, and a summary was included in EDC's 2006-2010 Corporate Plan
  • Created and led the Enterprise Strategy Planners (ESP) group, a forum of corporate Strategy leaders to share ideas, feedback and strategy concepts
  • Developed and implemented the BS&T Balanced Scorecard to measure and communicate the value of technology to the Corporation, ensuring full alignment with EDC's corporate strategic objectives. Validated existing strategy measures (Value for Money) and performance management metrics (Total Cost of Ownership)
  • Co-led development & implementation of Human Resources Job Classification Framework for BS&T (250 resources), which was subsequently rolled out to the corporation at large. Developed classification categories, led project management, strategic communication and delivery. Received Recognition Award for development of strategic communication tools that prepared the Management Team for implementation to all employees
  • Implemented and led the BS&T rolling corporate plan and management plan processes, ensuring alignment with corporate plan requirements and financial planning process
  • Developed & implemented annual Communication Plan to address a broad range of communication challenges, including demonstrating technology value, achievement of strategic objectives, and improvement of internal communications
