MOONDOGS Bassist & Backing Vocals


Steve has played bass for 33 years, and is also an accomplished backing vocalist (tenor). He has also played classical guitar for many years, including many recitals, and has received grade IX from the Ontario Royal Conservatory of Music. Steve was asked to play in a master class hosted by David Russell (David Russell is to classical guitar what Eddie Van Halen is to Rock).

His most notable gigs include: Main Stage Ottawa Bluesfest, Mont Tremblant Bluesfest, Barrymores, Zaphod's, Silver Dollar (Toronto), Lee's Palace (Toronto), El Mocambo (Toronto), Fort York (Toronto), City Hall (Ottawa and Toronto), The Rainbow and Tuscon's. Steve has also played his way from Hawksbury to Prescott to Deep River and everywhere in between.

When not playing with the Moondogs, Steve also currently performs in Ottawa with Alain Tambay.

Basses: Sadowsky 24 fret 5 string, Vadim Rubtsov custom made 5 string, Signature 4 string fretless, Rickenbacker 4001 4 string.
Amp: SWR 360 Readhead (300 watts).
Cabinets: SWR Triad ( 1x15", 1x10", tweeter ), Eden ( 2x10" with tweeter), Yorkville 1X15 combo (150 watts).
