| I have been making papier
mâché serving bowls for several years and have exhibited and sold at
several craft shows in Canada, including Toronto's "One of a Kind"
Christmas craft show. My serving bowls are durable and functional. They
can be used for salad, fruit, popcorn etc. They are made from strips of
recycled newspaper, built up over a mold which I later remove, painted
with one-of-a-kind designs and then varnished with several coats of a
non-toxic varnish. To clean them, just wipe with a soapy wet cloth...don't
immerse in water or put in the dishwasher. Some of the bowls are round but
others have been molded into an oval shape (which makes a comfortable
popcorn bowl for TV viewing!). The larger bowls include a matching salad
fork and spoon. I also make "ball bowls" of multi-coloured paper balls. I
make the latter by recycling paper into pulp and then dying it. I mix
batches to form multi-coloured balls which I glue together to form bowls.
These "ball bowls" are mainly decorative, although they could be used as a
fruit bowl. They can be cleaned using the soft brush of your vacuum
cleaner. If you are interested in buying one of my bowls, I accept
payments through PayPal (my account is: slimba@sympatico.ca), or a
cashier's check or money order. Buyers pay the cost of shipping and I can
provide you with various shipping options available. |
