Hi. I'm from Canada and currently live in the town of Arnprior just outside Ottawa. Art has always been part of my life and over the years has taken many forms. I hope you enjoy this site which records some of my recent endeavours in the disciplines of watercolors, wood carving and poetry. These are very recent or ongoing activities of mine. I would have gone back to the early days but don't have much of my early crayon work. :) I am self taught in all these activities and I do enjoy them all. I have included a section for friends where I hope I can provide links to interesting people and sites that strike my artistic fancy. E-mail suggestions are most appreciated. This site is my first journey into HTML site design so please bear with me as I learn more and try to get a little bit more zing in things.
PAINTING:This section displays watercolors that I have done since I started with this medium three years ago. All the paintings displayed are on 8" by 10" paper unless identified otherwise. As you can see, my subject matter is quite varied and I am still searching for my niche. Certainly I do like portraiture and putting figures into my paintings. CARVING:These are works I did over a period ending some 5 years ago when I stopped and went on to other things. All are in basswood and generally all are life size. I tended to concentrate on game birds but as you can see a few others snuck in. Everything of the bird and base, except for the glass eyes, is hand crafted. POETRY:I am not a poet by training so don't look for the prescribed meter or what ever. Just gave it a try and found that I enjoyed it in much the same way as painting. The brush is but the pen.
