My insatiable curiosity for travel and photography began in my late teens with an 8 month backpacking trip around Europe and the Middle East. Equipped with my brand new Nikon point and shoot camera, my photographic odyssey had begun.

Over the years, my travels have taken me to such wondrous places as Mexico, Thailand, Malaysia, and Bali to name a few. In 1998, I got a job with an Active Travel Company called Backroads. For the last 7 years I have guided biking/hiking trips in such exotic places as Europe (including France, Switzerland and Spain), Yucatan, Baja California, Canada, and have spent the last 3 winters in Costa Rica. My camera has been with me everywhere.

My equipment has now become more sophisticated, but one thing has not changed. The joy I feel capturing a moment in time through the camera's lens... beauty, people, expressions, nature... has only become stronger. Photography has taught me to open my eyes, to be more aware, and I am so thankful for this creative gift. Color, early morning light, water, sunsets, there is simple beauty everywhere.

What is most satisfying is sharing my images and knowing that they are touching people's lives in some small way. Whether it is a simple appreciation of a beautiful flower, a travel memory, a peaceful sunrise, I hope that they bring you happiness.
