The 2004 International Plein Air Painters WORLDWIDE "Paint Out" took place over the September 10-12 weekend all over the world.
Plein air (outdoors) painters from all over the world gathered together in many different countries over this one weekend in September for a truly unique art experience. The 2nd annual IPAP Paint-Out event happened simultaneously in international locations across the globe, and Ottawa artists were part of this exciting event. Last year's IPAP event drew artists from all over the globe, and many new plein air painting groups were formed directly as a result of this event. Ottawa's Arboretum at the Experimental Farm, well known for its beautiful scenery, was the beautiful location chosen by Ottawa artists Leslie Rohonczy and David W. Jones.
The March 2004 issue of American Artist mentioned the new interest in plein air painting and specifically International Plein Air Painters WORLDWIDE "Paint Out".
